Share market update: OMCs trade mixed; IOC down nearly 2%


NEW DELHI: Most OMCs were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday’s session with their sectoral index on BSE trading lower. 

Shares of Gujarat State Petronet (up 0.89 per cent) , Petronet LNG (up 0.58 per cent) , Indraprastha Gas (up 0.43 per cent) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 0.33 per cent) were the top performers in the index. 

Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.91 per cent) , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.08 per cent) , Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 1.04 per cent) and GAIL (India) (down 0.61 per cent) were trading lower. 

The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.50 per cent down at 14,176.96 around 11:38 am. 

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 24.40 points at 11,531.50 while the BSE Sensex was down 76.55 points at 38,654.27. 

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red. 

Shares of Spicejet, YES Bank, Adani Power, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, Future Retail, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Godrej Ind and InterGlobe Aviation were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
