Share market update: Consumer Durables shares trade higher; Blue Star up over 3%


NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was flat in Friday’s afternoon session with most of its components trading higher.

Shares of Blue Star (up 3.74 per cent), Crompton GreavesNSE -3.38 % Consumer Electricals (up 2.49 per cent) and TTK PrestigeNSE 0.85 % (up 0.61 per cent) were trading with gains.

Symphony (up 0.57 per cent), VIP Industries (up 0.41 per cent) and Rajesh Exports (up 0.38 per cent) too were trading in the green.

The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading flat at 26,032.95 around 12:09 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 33.80 points at 11,807.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 119.04 points at 39,467.37.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Adani Power, Suzlon Energy, Indiabulls RE, UPL, YES Bank, Dish TV India, PNB, Union Bank India, Ashok Leyland and Bank of India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
