Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; Sadbhav Engineering slips 4%


NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Sadbhav Engineering (down 4.40 per cent), Suzlon EnergyNSE -1.01 % (down 3.50 per cent), Dilip BuildconNSE 0.37 % (down 2.72 per cent) and Kalpataru Power Transmissions (down 2.21 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 1.99 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.51 per cent), Finolex Cables (down 1.14 per cent) and AIA Engineering (down 1.06 per cent) too were trading lower.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.10 per cent down at 19,883.16 around 12:13 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 31.95 points at 11,833.65 while the BSE Sensex was down 106.17 points at 39,580.33.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Adani Green Energy, Dish TV India, PNB, Adani Enterprises, JSPL and Union Bank India were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
