NEW DELHI: Vodafone IdeaNSE 0.43 % with over 0.13 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.
Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore), Uttam Value Steel (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore), Shekhawati PolyYarn (number of shares traded: 0.09 crore), HFCL (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore), Eros Media (number of shares traded: 0.08 crore), Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 0.07 crore), Dish TV India (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) and Lloyds Steels Industries (number of shares traded: 0.06 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Sundaram Finance (Rs 73.42 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by SBINSE 0.11 % (Rs 13.34 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 13.26 crore), InterGlobe Aviation (Rs 13.13 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 13 crore), Garware Wall (Rs 12.98 crore), TCS (Rs 11.77 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 9.95 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 9.90 crore) and YES Bank (Rs 9.20 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 49.80 points up at 11,548.70 while the BSE Sensex was up 179.99 points at 38,737.03 around 09:16 am.
In the Nifty index, Vedanta (up 2.34 per cent), JSW Steel (up 2.12 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.77 per cent), Tata Steel (up 1.55 per cent) and UPL (up 1.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Bajaj Auto (down 1.59 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 1 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (down 0.84 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.37 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
